Causes Of Diabetes
Diabetes, The Real Problem
Today, most people with diabetes are only treating the symptoms and not getting to the root of the problem. Furthermore, many medications given to people with diabetes are compounding problems instead of getting to the root cause.
Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes can occur in an older individual due to destruction of pancreas by alcohol, disease, or removal by surgery. It also results from progressive failure of the pancreatic beta cells, which produce insulin.
Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 diabetes is usually controlled with diet, weight loss, exercise, and oral medications. More than half of all people with type 2 diabetes require insulin to control their blood sugar levels at some point in the course of their illness.
Causes of Diabetes
Diabetes mellitus is a disease characterized by persistent high blood sugar levels, or hyperglycemia. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that requires diagnosis.
Gestational diabetes resembles type 2 diabetes in many ways. Gestational diabetes develops in some pregnant women and can damage the health of the mother and fetus. Gestational diabetes will usually improve or disappear after delivery.
Drug Interactions Causing Diabetes
The list below is incomplete and various other drugs or substances may cause your symptoms. Always advise your doctor oany medications or treatments you are using,inc-counter, supplements, herbal or alternative treatments.
Single Injection
The team wanted to know what would happen if they gave diabetic mice a top-up of substance P, so they injected some directly into the pancreas. Astonishingly, the diabetes disappeared overnight and the mice remained diabetes-free for weeks, and even months in some cases.
Obesity and Fat Distribution
Being overweight means increased insulin resistance, that is if body fat is more than 30%, BMI 25+, waist grith 35 inches in women or 40 inches in males.
Drug Induced
Clozapine (Clozaril), olanzapine (Zyprexa), risperidone (Risperdal), quetiapine (Seroquel) and ziprasidone (Geodon) are known to induce this lethal disease.
Emotional Stress
Stress does not cause diabetes, although it may be a trigger for the body turning against itself, as in type 1 diabetes. But it does make the symptoms worse for people who already have diabetes.
People Who Smoke Frequently
(at short intervals) are highly susceptible to develop diabetes. They are very much prone of developing retinopathy and joint immobility. If the diabetic patient does not stop smoking, then there are chances of premature mortality.
Diabetes resulting in an insulin-dependent state is classified as Type 1 diabetes. While Type 1 diabetes affects only between 5 to10 percent of the diabetic population, its effects on the body can be worse than other forms of diabetes.
